Capital Fund Drive

Under the watchful eye of North Township, Oak Hill Cemetery has come back from a dark and forgotten place to a well-kept, park-like resting place for more than 25,000 souls. The township took ownership in 2012, when the cemetery became an eyesore. Modest donations and a wealth of volunteers — from the building trades to the Boy Scouts to local residents — have helped restore the cemetery grounds and gate. Today, we are in need of your help to build a permanent office and repair roads at this working cemetery. Our donated trailer has worn out its welcome in Hammond and by law, the township cannot expend funds on construction. No donation is too large — or too small. Please help Oak Hill Cemetery: Donate today!

Adopt-a-Veteran

On behalf of the brave veterans laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, we are asking for your help. A $25 annual donation is all it takes to care for veteran graves, where there are no living relatives to help out. Once we receive your donation, we’ll assign a veteran to you, including his/her name, branch of military, war, etc. All donations go directly to maintaining the plot and stone.
